The Monument to Dante Alighieri in Trento is a statue built as a symbol of Italian culture in 1896.
In 2009 Lara Favaretto realized an installation called "Momentary Monument", which consists in thousands of sand bags that surround the statue.
The purpose is to put attention on the Monuments and its meaning.
It is one of the best artwork of 2009 for the American magazine "Artforum".
The installation is part of the events to celebrate the 20 years of Galleria Civica in Trento.
